Q: I SMELL BBQ! WHERE'S THAT CHARCOAL SCENT COMING FROM?

A: The 2nd annual Big Rib Bar-B-Q & Blues Fest takes place at The Highland Park Festival Site in the world famous Highland Park in Rochester, NY. Specifically at the corner of Highland and South Ave. The park is near the 590 expressway and is very easy to find. Click here for directions.

Q: WHEN SHOULD I HEAD TO THE CITY FOR SOME TASTY RIBS?

A: Thursday July 10: 11:30am to 9pm Free Lunchtime Admission 11:30 am-4pm
Friday July 11: 11:30am to 9pm Free Lunchtime Admission 11:30 am-4pm
Saturday July 12: 11:30am to 10pm Free Lunchtime Admission 11:30 am-4pm
Sunday July 13: Noon to 8pm Free Lunchtime Admission Noon-3pm

Q: IS THE VENUE EASY TO FIND? WHERE CAN I PARK?

A: Highland Park is near the center city of Rochester, and quite near the University of Rochester, and Monroe Community College. For those using mapquest or similar, the closest address of the Festival Site is the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial at 1440 South Ave, Rochester, NY 14620, which is right next to the Festival Site.

There are two parking areas: Close-in parking: adjacent to Highland Park, with its entrance on Elmwood Ave. between South Ave and Azalea Dr, has a $5 fee per car.

On Saturday, there is also free parking and a shuttle ($1 per person round trip) from and to the Monroe Community College Campus and the Festival Site just south of the 590 expressway exits at East Henrietta Rd. (a.k.a. South Ave. ).

Q: HOW MUCH CASH SHOULD I BRING?

A: Adult general admission is $5.00 and Kids 12 and under are FREE. Admission includes all concert performances. Generally, lunch items may be $6 and up, dinner items $9 and up.

Q: ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS OR FREEBIES?

A: • Save $2.00 on general admission with your July 4 or 5 Rochester Red Wings ticket stub
• Free lunchtime admission Thursday, Friday, Saturday July 10-12 from 11:30am to 4:00pm,
and Sunday July 13 from noon to 3pm.
NOTE:
All discounts are redeemable at the festival ticket office on the day of show, only. No double discounts.

Q: WHAT IF IT RAINS?

A: The Big Rib Bar-B-Q-and Blues Festival will take place -- rain or shine! In the event of rain, patrons can flee Mother Nature and eat ribs under the cover of several outdoor tents.
